Battle of

Chmielnik (called the battle with the Tartars) - between the Polish forces under the command of governor Vladim ir Krakow and Mongolian troops under the command when I Bajdara M ongol invasion of Poland in the thirteenth century. The battle wa s one of the episodes of European expansion of the Mongols, the next step was to conquer the Kingdom of Hungarian. In order to prevent coming to the rescue the Hungarian king Bela IV, the Mongols attacked the Polish Piast principalities and Transylvania.
